Which standard are you at??
1st Standard: Going to all possible Temples, attending all homas, going on pilgimages..
2nd Standard: Doing Poojas & Homas by Yourself.. but to many Gods..
3rd Standard: Realizing all Gods are one and the same & doing Pooja/homa for 1 God..
4th Standard: Mantra chanting and Mantra Japa start seeming more useful and effective.. (till 3rd Standard.. it was surrender through the body, the 4th standard is surrender through mind)
5th Standard: Meditating visualizing a form..Only now you get connected to Enlightened Master (And, you realize that all forms, be it Master's form, Gods' forms..etc are all expressions of the same Divine Energy)
6th Standard: You turn towards your SELF, your Consciousness, your Atman..
7th Standard: You realize 'You are That', You achieve enlightenment..You radiate Eternal Bliss....
Now, you can fit yourself in any level and try to work to reach the 7th Standard !
